~Our Story~
Hello dear, it's Meliana. A girl from Bandung - Indonesia, who loves shoes so much since young age. To me, shoes is like an art, especially when it is handmade. I used to sell shoes back in 2011 when I was in highschool, but that time it was Japanese and Korean style shoes. Unfortunately after I finished high school, I had to stop the business since I got to go abroad for my studies, and since then I moved around to big cities in Asia and Europe for 7 years. These opportunity allows me to observe how the fashion style in every region has their own characteristic, style, and function.
The name of BERCY alone, derived from an area in Paris ; Pont-de-Bercy, where I was strolling around in Summer 2021, and I had a "Eureka moment", to create a shoe line that I could share with others! I had been thinking a lot about it ever since, started to learn again how to draw, how to design shoes, and learning about leather products for months.

Finally, almost at the end of 2021, I decided to move back to Indonesia from Copenhagen - Denmark, and by that time I knew what I wanted to do : to have my own shoe line that can give a lot of value to others, and shoes that make others feel amazing while wearing them.

10 years has passed since I created Japanese and Korean style shoes, now I want to share my creation that combines the Parisian and a little bit of Scandinavian style (classy yet simple). Definitely they are also suitable to be worn here in tropical Indonesia.

All the shoes were designed by me and they were carefully hand-made by our shoemakers in Bandung, the Paris of Java. Thanks to them, because without them, we could not have been sharing our passion with you. Merci beaucoup for trusting BERCY to accompany you going into places with confidence and comfort. Hopefully wearing our shoes will make you feel amazing! This would mean a lot to our shoemakers and I personally.
Remember, regardless of how beautiful our shoes are, it does not define your beauty when you wear them. You were always been and are beautiful. And you know that. Until next time, and take care! :)
